Tuition & Financial Aid

Affording a Christian Education

At EBCA, we believe Christian education is not a commodity. It is a ministry, a calling, and a partnership with families. Each child is a unique image bearer of God, and our highest priority is what is educationally and spiritually best for them.

We also recognize that families come from a wide range of economic situations. Our goal is to ensure that finances are never the primary barrier to enrollment. For this reason, we work closely with families to create thoughtful pathways that make an EBCA education possible.

When you join our community, you are not simply paying for an education. You are investing in Christ-centered formation that engages the heart, mind, and spirit, shaping students for life, purpose, and service.

Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition at EBCA directly supports a rich and balanced educational environment where rigorous academics, spiritual formation, and personal growth come together to prepare students for lifelong impact.

Because every family’s situation is unique, tuition conversations are handled personally through our admissions process.

Tuition Rates

For current tuition rates, please call the school office at (510) 717-8628 or request an information packet.

Financial Aid

We understand that tuition represents a meaningful investment in your child’s future. EBCA is committed to making a Christ-centered education accessible to families from a wide range of financial backgrounds.

EBCA offers a needs-based Tuition Adjustment and Financial Aid program for qualifying families. Awards are based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds for the school year.

Our admissions team will guide families through the process and answer questions during conversations with our principal.

We provide financial support through both school-funded scholarships and regional assistance programs, and we work closely with families to explore all available options.

At EBCA, we believe finances should never prevent a family from joining our community or accessing an education that nurtures the mind, heart, and spirit.

Additional Financial Aid Resources

The Basic Fund

The Basic Fund is a privately funded 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to advance educational equity for low-income families by helping offset the cost of tuition at private schools throughout the Bay Area.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Some employers offer Flexible Spending Accounts that allow parents to pay for eligible child care expenses using wages earned before taxes are taken out. Eligibility and covered expenses vary by employer. Please consult your employer or benefits provider for details.

Alternative Payment Programs

Alternative Payment Programs (APP) are state- and federally funded child care assistance programs coordinated through the State of California. These programs support eligible families whose children are enrolled in licensed family child care homes, centers, or approved exempt child care settings.

These programs are funded by:

How Alternative Payment Programs Work

Parents select the child care or educational program that best fits their needs. The APP enters into a contract with both the parent and the provider and pays the provider directly.

Families enrolled in APP have the right to change providers if they are dissatisfied with their initial placement. Programs serve specific geographic areas, and eligibility varies by the age of the child. Some programs support care up to age five, while others include aftercare options for children up to age twelve.

Litchfield Christian School has been such a beautiful blessing to our family. LCS is a Christ-centered school that challenges students academically, nurtures their creativity, promotes a positive learning environment, and contributes to their spiritual growth. LCS is very supportive, and they encourage their students and their families. Our daughter came into LCS completely broken and empty. Public school had taken a drastic toll on her mental health. She had pleaded with us for over a year to homeschool her. We were at a loss. Our daughter is a very social person, and we knew she needed more. We decided to check out LCS as an alternative. From the very moment we stepped inside LCS, we could see and feel the genuine love. EVERYONE felt as if they belonged. Before our day of observing was over, she had asked if she could please come to LCS. She was smiling and said this place is my kind of place. It's definitely been just that!

Today she is thriving, and she is truly enjoying herself. She loves to go to school, and she loves all of the teachers. She has made good friends and is blossoming in all areas of life. She's even started singing on stage during chapel. This has been the best decision we could have ever made as parents for our daughter. We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity in our hometown, and we truly appreciate that LCS offers grades K-12. How blessed we are to be a part of Litchfield Christian School. We look forward to many more amazing years here.
